Happy Holidays Been trying to be more charitable in general last few years, and most people that read this prolly already know of it, but thought I'd put it out there anyway. Done by our favorite comic, Penny-Arcade, they get TONS of donations for kids during the holidays. Save your soul! buy a kid a toy :)

Kong So, saw the movie last night. Pretty long. Story was decent, and from what I could see, kept to the original. *Excellent* special FX. It was 3 hours of just eye-candy. Ok, so maybe just 2 hours, as it took an hour to get to his island. But, still. And, frankly, 3 hours is still no walk in the park, especially if you only got 3 hours of sleep the night before. Warning to animal lovers: you will be very moved by this movie, as evidenced by a weepy, vegetarian friend of mine who saw it w/ me :)

Routines... Came back into town last week, and after being away for over a month living out of a suitcase, it made me realize how much I appreciate having a routine. Having a routine, and living within one time-zone. Being on time, being productive, catching up on everything, personal, business, work-related...all of the above, all at the same time. Daunting, to say the least. So I decided that I would take it one day at a time. Each day, do a little, but still get rest, still get to work each day... Boy, did I ever need rest. I think at least twice in the week since I've been back, I slept from dinner-time till the waking morn next day. Did that again last nite. Woke up hungry as fuck. But at least this time, I was able to wake up, shower, get dressed, early enough to hit the VA DMV. Been meaning to do that. Been *needing* to do that. Been driving around for the last 3 months with an expired license. Thankfully, the only reason I found that out was from a bouncer, and not from being pulled over, during a friend's bachelor party, while we were bar-hopping. The bouncer wouldn't let me in when he informed me it was expired. I understood. I used to think, why they hell can't you take my age from an expired license? It's obviously me! My birthdate doesn't change! But, it makes sense. People give out their expired licenses to look-alike younger relatives and friends all the time. It's a good measure to take to make IDs of this sort become more official, more accurate. My fault really. I thought I would be reminded of it's impending expiration; I was obviously wrong. So, got that done this morning, as well as got a safety inspection(no line!), which was due this month anyway. So, yay for feeling accomplished. Now to figure out my money situation for the holidays. This month-long vacation has taken its toll on my body and my wallet. As it's looking, only the closest friends and immediate family will get presents, *if* that. If anyone wants to make the list, now's the time to make a good impression! ;) Oh and speaking of vacation. Yes, I have TONS of pics to put up in the usual place. Give me some time damnit! there's a lot.
