Josh I got it this weekend... The Internet Edition of Josh Groban's newest album, Closer. The edition that has 2 more songs than the special edition, and 4 more songs than the regular. The bonus tracks include a MJ cover of She's Out of My Life and a Linkin Park cover of My December. Truly a crossover artist. I love him. With a love that dare not speak its name.

Old Boss I'm really gonna miss the old hoot. It really meant a lot when he empathized in front of people in a meeting w/ the whole concept of being on network standby. Not only because he is on standby 24/7 as I am, but he knows how the job can be overwhelming to the point that you "have no life". And yes, boss, that's on the top of the list of things I will not miss :(

The More Things Change... Got the new job. Well, the new position really, in the same general department. But different boss now. I'm actually changing bosses after let's see....after like 5-6 years. Been awhile. It's cool tho, he'll still be around, and I'm sure I'll be working with him in some capacity or other. Basically working now with/for friends, in our own little department. Lot more to learn there, and that's the main reason I took the offer. Cuz, it definitely wasn't the money! I only get a pittance more than I did with the last position, but that's ok. Lateral moves are good too! So now, I'm still at the same institution, just a different position. What's new? Cons: Losing all the tech-swag :( (laptop, pocket-pc....) No more subordinates omg, i'm losing the keys to the city! Pros: Working with friends Learn a lot more, in the direction I want to No more 24/7 infrastructure standby (this KICKS ASS)

*Exhale* ...oh thank SIFU, the repair price for my clutch wasn't as high as it could've been, and better still, I was able to afford it now. *whew* Now i can relax. Still won't have enuf $ for a Treo 600...but maybe it's for the best right now.... Gonna see Battle Royale @ Dremos tonite w/ everyone. Looks like an interesting flick, delightfully disturbing :) Carry on.

Balance So, I step on a rusty, broken razor blade in Kung-Fu class on Saturday, prompting me to get a tetanus shot today. Since I got it at the place I work at, at a department that loves me (I'm assuming), I get it for free! I was lucky to have a couple EMTs in class patch up the hole, Dracontias and lifeisgood! Thank you! Plus, I had the perfect excuse to play hooky on Sunday and spend the day with Kelseylee *beam* and my foot's almost back to normal now, so I should be able to make it to the seminar tonite! yay! Adversity really just made an otherwise normal weekend, interesting :)

Hallow's Eve Weekend whew. what a weekend. 2 halloween parties, 2 late nite IHoP excursions, 2 nites away from sleeping in my own bed, er, floor. oh yeah, pics for the first nite with kungfu peeps, and then the second nite with old friends. time to sleep.
